MAHOPAC, N.Y.—The Putnam Chorale will host its annual gala fundraiser, A Night of Music and Dance, on Saturday, Oct. 18, at 6:30 p.m. at the Putnam County Golf Course Clubhouse, 187 Hill St., Mahopac.
The evening will feature a vibrant mix of fine dining and live entertainment. Guests will enjoy an appetizer hour, dinner, dessert and a cash bar, all set to the swinging sounds of the Norm Hathaway Big Band. Members of the Putnam Chorale will also perform beloved big band and swing standards, creating a night that blends elegance with energy.
“This gala is about more than just music — it’s about sustaining the arts in our community,” said Katherine Gambino, president of the Putnam Chorale. “Professional choral direction, rehearsal space, accompanists, orchestral musicians and the ability to perform for the public all require resources. With 90 singers strong, our sound is truly exceptional, but we need the support of our community to keep it alive. This event helps us fund our concerts while giving our supporters a joyful evening together.”
Tickets are $125 per person and must be purchased in advance at putnamchorale.org/next-event.
Founded in 1984, the Putnam Chorale is the largest community choir in Putnam County and a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Its mission is twofold: to provide amateur and aspiring professional singers the opportunity to enrich their lives through choral music, and to share compelling performances with audiences across Putnam and Dutchess counties. Choristers, ages 14 to 80 and older, come from across the region to be part of this dynamic ensemble.
