The Putnam County Clerk's Office will hold Passport Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at its office, 40 Gleneida Ave. in Carmel.
The appointment-only event will allow U.S. citizens to obtain passport information and submit applications. County Clerk Michael C. Bartolotti said the Saturday hours are intended to accommodate residents who need passports.
Information about costs, application requirements and scheduling is available at putnamcountyny.com/county-clerk. Only applicants and necessary parents or guardians will be permitted to enter the office for appointments.
U.S. citizens traveling internationally by air must present a valid passport book when entering or re-entering the United States. Those entering the United States from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean or Bermuda at land borders or seaports must present a passport book, passport card or another travel document approved by the federal government.
