YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y.—The Yorktown Police Department recognized several officers for their dedication, leadership, and service to the community during a presentation at Town Hall on Oct. 7.

Chief of Police Robert Noble took the opportunity during the Town Board meeting to introduce the officers to the public and highlight their achievements.

Justin Foley was promoted to the rank of captain from lieutenant, Anthony DiPietrantonio advanced from sergeant to lieutenant, Matthew Racioppo was promoted to lieutenant, and Thomas Beyrer was assigned to the position of detective sergeant. Sergeant Chad Delgado was also recognized, having been promoted from police officer.

Noble praised the officers for their professionalism and commitment to public safety, noting that their achievements reflect years of hard work and service.

All of the officers, except for Delgado—a Walter Panas High School graduate—are graduates of Yorktown High School. Noble commended his “homegrown” officers for their dedication to protecting the community they grew up in.

“This job is nothing but more dangerous. We do try to make it look easy and look seamless, but there's quite a few bad people out there,” Noble said. “Having a strong presence out there and utilizing technology to proactively identify suspected or confirmed criminals—that's how we all that's how we keep you all safe. I hope you all know that.”
