SOMERS, N.Y. - Authorities have revealed the identity of a man killed after being struck by a falling tree limb in Somers earlier this week.
According to reports, the incident took place just after 4 p.m. on Monday, June 23, at a private residence.
Members of the New York State Police, Bureau of Criminal Investigation, and Somers Volunteer Fire Department rushed to the scene after receiving reports of an unresponsive male who had been injured while removing trees from the property.
Police would later confirm the victim as Jonathan Chavez Jaramillo, 31, of Ossining.
First responders initiated life-saving procedures before transporting the victim to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
