April 18
An officer was dispatched back to the Green Street precinct at 2:38 a.m. to meet a woman at the callbox who wanted to report a missing person. The woman told the officer that her daughter, who is in her early 20s, had not come home many hours after completing her shift at a local restaurant. Officers found the woman’s car in a parking lot near her job and walked the route between the vehicle and the restaurant; they did not locate her or observe any indications of foul play. Over the next few hours, county officers, including several brought in to assist from outside the village, visited multiple residences of co-workers and the restaurant owner in an effort to obtain information on her possible whereabouts. They visited local bars in case she went out after work. They also searched Leonard Park and along McClain Street after her cell phone pinged in that general area. After continued investigation, officers went to another residence in the village and located the young woman, who was safe and sound. She told officers that she had been drinking after work, didn’t want to drive home and stayed at a friend’s apartment. She was brought to the Green Street precinct about 5:30 a.m., where her mother was waiting to take her home.
Officers responded to CVS on South Bedford Road at 12:10 a.m. on a report of a man panhandling outside the store. Condition corrected.
Officers responded to a residence on Carpenter Avenue at 4:27 p.m. on a report of a youth in emotional crisis. The youth was subsequently taken by EMS to Westchester Medical Center for evaluation.
Officers responded to North Moger Avenue at 4:28 p.m. on a report of a domestic dispute. A man there said he called police because the mother of their children was moving out and taking the children with her over his objections. Officers determined the dispute was verbal in nature only and advised the man to pursue the custody issue in Family Court. A Domestic Incident Report was prepared and lethality screening conducted.
Officers responded to a restaurant in the 100 block of Lexington Avenue at 5:25 p.m. on a report of a man menacing others with a machete. Upon arrival, officers secured the weapon and detained a man for investigation. A witness told police that the 25-year-old man grabbed a machete from a restaurant worker who was cutting coconuts outside the business and then threatened to kill another man who was nearby. Witnesses said that man and other people who were outside ran into the restaurant and locked the door. The man with the machete attempted to get in, frightening the people inside, including a small child. The 25-year-old Lexington Avenue resident was subsequently charged with reckless endangerment (first degree), menacing (second degree), endangering the welfare of a child and criminal possession of a weapon (fourth degree). He was booked at the Green Street precinct and held for arraignment. At arraignment in Mount Kisco Justice Court, he was released on his own recognizance.
April 19
An officer on patrol in the 100 block of Lexington Avenue observed a man drinking a beer at 3:45 p.m. The 27-year-old was issued a summons for public consumption of alcohol, a violation. He is due in village court on May 7.

April 20
Officers responded to a school on North Bedford Road at 11:11 a.m. on a report of a youth in emotional crisis. The Mobile Crisis Response Team was requested, and the youth was later taken to Westchester Medical Center for evaluation.
A woman came to the Green Street precinct at 12:10 p.m. to file a harassment complaint regarding a man who had screamed at her near the Green Street firehouse. An officer located the man, who said he had yelled at the woman and two men who he says have been following him and taking photos or video of him.
Officers responded to Mount Kisco Elementary School at 1:47 p.m. on a report of three men talking with children through a fence behind the school. The men were found to be in possession of several open cans of beer and were issued summonses for public consumption of alcohol, a violation. They are due in village court on May 21.
An officer on patrol on Lexington Avenue at 6:10 p.m. observed a man in the parking lot of village court who appeared intoxicated. EMS was requested. As Katonah Bedford Hills VAC was responding, the man made statements indicating that he wanted to hurt himself. KBH VAC took him to Westchester Medical Center for evaluation, with an officer riding in the ambulance to ensure the crew’s safety.
A report was received at 9:23 p.m. of an intoxicated man outside a bar on South Moger Avenue. EMS was requested by the responding officers.
Officers responded to Northern Westchester Hospital at 8:23 p.m. to assist a mother with an adult child who was refusing to enter the hospital. The mother had brought her daughter for a mental health evaluation, but the daughter became angry and refused to go inside. Upon arrival of the officers, the daughter became enraged and combative with them, biting one of them on the arm. Officers were able to de-escalate the situation, and the daughter agreed to go into the hospital with her mother to get care.
April 21
A report was received at 7:05 a.m. of a disorderly person inside a coffee shop on South Moger Avenue. The man was gone upon an officer’s arrival but was located on Main Street. He was detained and issued a written trespass warning barring him from the store.

Officers responded to the parking lot adjacent to the Mount Kisco train station at 8:58 a.m. after a collision between a moped and scooter. The operator of the moped suffered a leg injury and was taken to Northern Westchester Hospital. The operator of the scooter was issued summonses for operating without a license and having an unregistered and uninsured vehicle.

The woman said a relative in her 80s with dementia was missing from her residence on Carpenter Avenue. Another officer went to Carpenter Avenue and located the missing woman on the street and escorted her home. Westchester EMS and Mount Kisco VAC responded, but the woman declined any medical attention. An officer with a tracking canine who was en route to the village was advised that the missing person had been found.
April 22

An officer on patrol on Carpenter Avenue at 11 a.m. observed suspicious activity involving people getting in and out of two parked cars. One of the vehicles had illegally tinted windows, and a traffic stop was made when it drove off at 11:09 a.m. After investigation, the driver was found to be in possession of a crack pipe and a container holding a small amount of cocaine, which he tried to dispose of but was prevented from doing so. A 60-year-old New Rochelle resident was charged with tampering with evidence, criminal possession of a controlled substance (seventh degree) and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. He was booked at the Green Street precinct and released pending a May 7 appearance in village court.
An officer was dispatched back to the Green Street precinct at 6:01 p.m. to meet a business owner who wanted to file a harassment complaint. The owner said a man who has been a customer has entered his premises several times taking video and also has called him claiming to be a part-owner of the business. A report was prepared. A verbal trespass warning was issued to the other party by phone.
An officer responded to Spring Street at 6:11 p.m. due to a verbal dispute between a father and his teenage son. The father asked for a report to be prepared because he needs to document ongoing issues he is having with the youth for social workers who are assisting the family.
