SOMERS, N.Y. - The Optum multi-specialty center in Somers will close next month, a company spokesperson confirmed this week.
Located at 342 U.S. Route 202, the facility currently offers dermatology, endocrinology, rheumatology, and primary care services, including pediatrics and family and internal medicine.
According to a statement from an Optum spokesperson, the physicians and staff at the Somers office will relocate to the Optum Medical Care facility in Mount Kisco later in November.
“As part of our routine business, we evaluate our operational footprint to ensure it reflects how and where care better serves our patients,” the spokesperson said. “Our goal is to support collaboration among care teams and maintain convenient access to high-quality care for the communities we serve.”
The spokesperson confirmed that the Somers location will see its final patients on Nov. 20, with services resuming at the Mount Kisco office on Nov. 24.
No additional reasoning for the closure was provided beyond the company’s ongoing efforts to consolidate operations and streamline care delivery.
