Nicholas Timpone, known lovingly to family and friends as Nick and Poppy, passed away on April 7, 2026, in Yorktown Heights, New York, at the age of 83. Born on August 11, 1942, in the Bronx, New York, he lived a life marked by devotion, strength, faith, and a deep love for the people who surrounded him.

Nick was a proud Christian whose faith guided him throughout his life and gave him comfort, purpose, and quiet strength. He carried himself with dignity and humility, and he was known for his steady presence, warm heart, and the kind of loyalty that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Whether through his family, his work, or his friendships, he lived with integrity and a sincere concern for others.

He served his country honorably as an Air Force veteran, a chapter of his life that reflected his sense of duty and commitment. After his military service, he went on to work for NYC Transit, where he contributed many years of dedicated service. He was respected by those who worked alongside him and took pride in doing his job well. His strong work ethic and dependable nature were hallmarks of the life he built.

Family was the center of Nick’s world, and he cherished every moment spent with those he loved. He is survived by his wife, Arlene, and was predeceased by his wife, Mae. He was the beloved father of his sons, Blaise Timpone and his wife Christine, and Nicholas Timpone and his wife Maria, and his daughter, Angela Timpone and her wife Jillian. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Michael Thomas and his wife Kristen, Bianca and her husband Tony, Christopher and his wife Kimberly, Nicholas, and Mia. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Nico Timpone and Anthony Franciotti, who brought him great joy.

Nick’s love extended beyond his immediate family to include his nieces and nephews, Cathy Infelice, Rocco Zacarolli, Anthony Zacarolli, and many more relatives who held a special place in his heart. He valued family gatherings, shared stories, and the simple moments that created lifelong memories. He was the kind of man who made others feel welcome, appreciated, and cared for, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Those who loved Nick will remember his strength, his humor, and his steady devotion to the people closest to him. He was a man who understood the importance of family, service, and faith, and he lived those values every day. His legacy will continue through the generations of his family, who will carry forward the lessons he taught by example.

Though he has departed this life, Nicholas Timpone leaves behind a rich legacy of love, honor, and cherished memories.
