Mount Kisco Police Blotter: Domestic disputes, laundromat disturbance, motor vehicle accident

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. - The following is a selection of incidents and calls for service handled by Westchester County Police in Mount Kisco to start 2026.

Jan. 1

Welfare check requested at 12: 13 a.m. at a residence on Grove Street in regards to a child. Upon arrival, officers were told that the child was not in the home but with her father in New Rochelle. New Rochelle PD was requested to respond to an address in that city and verified that the child was there. No further police action needed.

Inspection around Northern Westchester Hospital commenced at 2:52 a.m. Concluded at 3:07 a.m. All in order.

Operation Safeguard inspection at Bet Torah commenced at 3:13 a.m. Concluded at 3:24 a.m. All in order.

Noise complaint received at 3:50 a.m. at a residence on Grove Street. Condition corrected. Patrol resumed at 4:10 a.m.

Inspection at Mount Kisco Commons on North Bedford Road commenced at 7:49 a.m. Concluded at 8:07 a.m. All in order.

An officer responded to Boltis Street at 9:17 a.m. to assist an elderly man feeling ill and requesting help. Mount Kisco VAC also responded to take over care and provide transport to the hospital. Patrol resumed at 9:48 a.m.

Officers responded to Barker Street at 11:52 a.m. on a report of a domestic dispute at a residence there.   Determined to be verbal in nature only. Domestic Incident Report prepared. Scene cleared at 12:21 p.m.

Report received at 2:04 p.m. of a man trespassing at Barnes and Noble on South Moger Avenue. An officer verified that a previous written trespass warning had been issued to the man barring him from the premises. He was issued a summons for trespass with a return court date of Jan. 29.

Inspection commenced at 4:53 p.m. around businesses and parking areas at 333 North Bedford Road. Concluded at 5:35 p.m. All in order.

Inspection of Leonard Park commenced at 5:14 p.m. Concluded at 5:37 p.m. All in order.

Officers responded to a laundromat on Lexington Avenue at 5:41 p.m. on a report of five men drinking and causing a disturbance there. No alcohol was observed upon their arrival. Three men were escorted from the premises. Two others were detained because officers knew they had previously received written trespass notices barring them from the premises. A 45-year-old man was issued a summons for trespass with a return court date of Jan. 29.  The second man, a 52-year-old, refused to leave and created a disturbance. He was placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct, a violation. He was booked at the Green Street precinct and released pending a Jan. 8 appearance in Mount Kisco Justice Court.

An officer responded to Barker Street at 9:05 p.m. to assist an elderly woman who injured her leg in a fall. Katonah Bedford Hills VAC also responded and took the woman to the hospital. Scene cleared at 9:45 p.m.

Inspection commenced at post office on Morgan Drive at 10:10 p.m. Concluded 10:36 p.m. All in order.

Jan. 2

Inspection at Leonard Park commenced at 12:31 a.m. Concluded 12:58 a.m. All in order.

Inspection at Northern Westchester Hospital commenced at 3:49 a.m. Concluded 4:14 a.m. All in order.

Inspection of Village Hall and Library commenced at 4:29 a.m. Concluded 4:44 a.m. All in order.

Report received at 4:17 a.m. of an activated burglar alarm at Starbucks on South Moger Avenue.  No sign of any forced entry. Doors checked, found to be secure. Alarm deemed accidental. Scene cleared at 4:43 a.m.

Inspection/foot patrol around Mount Kisco train station commenced at 9:34 a.m. Concluded 9:48 a.m. All in order.

An officer was dispatched back to the Green Street precinct at 10:49 a.m. to meet a person at the callbox reporting a crime in the past. The complainant alleged he was subject to inappropriate sexual contact while he was intoxicated and sleeping at a village residence in the early morning hours of Jan. 1. A report was prepared and the matter was turned over to a detective for continued investigation.

Inspection at Oakwood Cemetery on Lexington Avenue commenced at 10:11 a.m. Concluded at 10:39 a.m. All in order.

An officer responded to a medical building on South Bedford Road at 11:05 a.m. on a report of a man in cardiac distress. The man was conscious and alert upon the officer’s arrival and in the care of medical staff. Mount Kisco VAC transported him to Northern Westchester Hospital. Patrol resumed at 11:38 a.m.

Inspection/foot patrol at Mount Kisco Commons commenced at 11:55 a.m. Concluded 12:09 p.m. All in order.

An officer responded at 2:30 p.m. to a report of an intoxicated man in the Shoppers Park parking lot. Mount Kisco VAC also responded and took him to the hospital for evaluation.

Inspection/foot patrol around Mount Kisco train station and Kirby Plaza commenced at 4:15 p.m. Concluded 4:38 p.m. All in order.

A Willetts Road resident contacted police at 6:08 p.m. to report that two people were sitting in a parked car in front of his home for an extended time. The vehicle was gone upon an officer’s arrival.

Inspection at Mount Kisco Elementary School commenced at 6:59 p.m. Concluded at 7:11 p.m. All in order.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at a business on North Bedford Road at 9:16 p.m. Premises secure. Deemed accidental.

Inspection of commercial premises along Radio Circle commenced at 9:08 p.m. Concluded at 9:25 p.m. All in order.

Report received at 8:30 p.m. of a man needing medical attention at ShopRite on North Bedford Road. An officer and MKVAC responded. The man was taken by ambulance to Northern Westchester Hospital.

Jan. 3

Inspections of auto dealership properties along Kisco Avenue and North Bedford Road commenced at 2:08 a.m. Concluded 3:07 a.m. All in order.

Inspection at Leonard Park commenced at 7:57 a.m. Concluded 8:22 a.m. All in order.

Inspection at Mount Kisco train station commenced at 8:34 a.m. Concluded 8:52 a.m. All in order.

Officers responded to a laundromat on Lexington Avenue at 9:19 a.m. on a report of two men involved in an altercation there. Officers detained a man as he tried to leave the premises while the matter was being investigated. After the man became combative, he was placed under arrest on charges of Obstruction of Governmental Administration 2nd Degree and Resisting Arrest, misdemeanors. He was booked at the Green Street precinct and released pending a future appearance in Mount Kisco Justice Court.

Officers responded to an office building on South Bedford Road at 11:15 a.m. on a report of an audible alarm. The lobby area was unoccupied and interior offices were found to be locked and secure. While officers were on scene, a building representative reviewed security video remotely and reported that a delivery person had set the alarm off inadvertently.

A motorist reported at 11:27 p.m. that her vehicle was struck by another in the 200 block of Main Street. When she pulled over, the other vehicle did not do so and left the scene. A report was prepared and details forwarded to the Real Time Crime center for continued investigation.

A resident reported at 12:09 p.m. that his car was damaged, apparently by a hit-and-run driver, while it was parked in the 500 block of Lexington Avenue. An officer attempted to locate security camera video that might have captured the incident but none was located.

Inspection at Karafin School on North Bedford Road commenced at 1:08 p.m. Concluded 1:26 p.m. All in order.

Traffic stop at 4:39 p.m. at Main Street and Carpenter Avenue. Summons issued.

Traffic stop at 5:01 p.m. on South Moger Avenue. Warning issued.

A patron at a business on South Moger Avenue reported an odor of gas at 5:44 p.m. The odor was determined to be fresh paint.

Inspection at Mount Kisco train station commenced at 6:29 p.m. Concluded 6:40 p.m. All in order.

Traffic stop at 6:48 p.m. on Green Street. Warning issued.

An officer responded to South Moger Avenue to assist a man who was highly intoxicated. Westchester EMS also responded and took the man to the hospital for evaluation.

Inspection of parking areas at Diplomat Towers commenced at 8:17 p.m. Concluded 8:24 p.m. All in order.

Report received at 9:55 p.m. of a vehicle illegally a parked in a fire lane on Main Street. Summons issued.

Inspection of Shoppers Park and Blackeby parking lots commenced at 10 p.m. Concluded 10:12 p.m. All in order.

Traffic stop on Carpenter Avenue at 10:28 p.m. Warning issued.

Jan. 4

Officers responded to Pat Reilly Way at 4:40 a.m. on a report of a single-car motor vehicle accident with injuries. A driver reported that she fell asleep while making a food delivery and struck a utility pole. The woman and two small children who were in her car were transported by ambulance to Westchester Medical Center. Child Protective Services was notified. Investigation turned over to detectives and is continuing.

An officer responded to Stewart Place at 9:30 a.m. to assist a man who was feeling dizzy and nauseous. Mount Kisco VAC also responded and took the man to the hospital.

Traffic stop at 10:03 a.m. on Lexington Avenue. Summons issued.

Parking violation observed on South Moger Avenue at 10:56 a.m. Summons issued.

Traffic stop in Kirby Plaza at 10:57 a.m. Summons issued.

Traffic stop on Main Street at 11:27 a.m. Summons issued.

Officers responded to a domestic dispute on Lexington Avenue at 12:55 p.m. A woman alleged she was assaulted by another female. The alleged victim, who was intoxicated, gave conflicting accounts of the incident, and the other party to the dispute denied hitting her. Child Protective Services was notified due to the presence of children during the incident and the unkempt conditions observed in the apartment. A Domestic Incident Report was prepared. The case was assigned to detectives for follow-up. Patrol resumed at 2:47 p.m.

Traffic stop on North Moger Avenue at 6:34 p.m. Summons issued.

Welfare check requested at 6:40 p.m. for a man lying on the ground on Gatto Drive. The man was determined to be intoxicated and EMS was requested. Transported by Mount Kisco VAC to the hospital.

Traffic stop on Maple Avenue at 8:05 p.m. Summons issued.

Traffic stop at Main Street and North Moger Avenue at 8:42 p.m. Warning issued.

A Grove Street resident reported at 8:44 p.m. that a sedan was driving erratically on the street. The vehicle was gone upon an officer’s arrival.

Traffic stop at 9:26 p.m. on Main Street at Green Street. Summons issued.

Traffic stop in the 100 block of Main Street at 9:58 p.m. Warning issued.

Inspection at Mount Kisco train station commenced at 11:52 p.m. Concluded 11:59 p.m. All in order.
