MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. - Mount Kisco’s Firefighters Parade, its annual tribute to the courage and dedication of local first responders, drew large crowds on Friday, July 11.

Participating were representatives of engine companies from the village and all around the area. There were also marching bands, bagpipers, antique fire apparatus, fife and drum corps, and organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club of Northern Westchester and the Mount Kisco Historical Society.

Electeds lining the red, white, and blue-bedecked Main Street reviewing stand – along with fire officials -- were the mayor and members of the Village Board, Mount Kisco’s state assemblyman and senator, and the county executive.

Leading the way in a black SUV was Grand Marshal Francis Bradley, who has served with Mutual Engine & Hose Co. 1 since 1957, including as president and captain.

Calling Bradley “a larger-than-life figure,” Fire Commissioner Tom Comito Jr. said he was a role model “for both current and future generations” of Mount Kisco firefighters.
