Lorraine Ida Foley passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born in the Bronx on April 9, 1930, Lorraine was raised in Yonkers with her sister, Irene.
After graduating from Commerce High School, Lorraine began her career as a secretary. In 1952, Lorraine married William “Bosco” Foley. They started their family in Yonkers and made their way to Cortlandt Manor, where they raised their 7 children in a home filled with love and laughter on Westbrook Drive.
The Foley house was not just full of children. Through the years, they welcomed pets of all kinds: dogs, birds, cats, and ducks – all a testament to Lorraine’s patience and gentle spirit.
Lorraine and Bosco spent countless weekends camping with their children at Lake Walton. Summer vacations were spent at the Jersey Shore, where Lorraine loved to be on the water.
Widowed at the age of 46, Lorraine’s unwavering faith in God and unconditional love for her children sustained her through life’s hardships with gratitude and optimism. Through it all, her family remained at the center of her world.
In later years, Lorraine enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and knitting. She moved to Fishkill, where she had a large circle of friends. Lorraine was an active member of St. Mary’s Parish and the Fishkill Senior Center. She also served as a board member of the Park Condominium Association.
