Lawler delivers sidewalk funding for Putnam

I do a lot of my getting around on foot, and in parts of Putnam County that can be its own adventure. Too many roads have no shoulder, no sidewalk, and no safe way for a person to easily get around.

Congressman Mike Lawler brought home $7.5 million for pedestrian improvements across Putnam County. That is a substantial investment in sidewalks and safer walking routes, and it will make a real difference for residents like me and for parents with strollers who have had to share the road with traffic.

Being able to walk safely in your own community should not be a luxury. I am grateful Rep. Lawler saw the need and funded it at a scale that will actually be felt.
