An officer on patrol in the 600 block of East Main Street at 12:50 p.m. observed a man known to him to have an outstanding arrest warrant. The 46-year-old was taken into custody on the warrant, which charges him with second-degree Obstructing Governmental Administration and Resisting Arrest, misdemeanors, and Disorderly Conduct, a violation. The man was booked at the Green Street precinct and held for arraignment, where he was released on his own recognizance.
An officer conducting an inspection of the Early Settlement Trail at 3:53 p.m. arrested one man and issued two summonses to another. The officer recognized one of the men as someone who had an outstanding arrest warrant issued by Mount Kisco Justice Court. The other man was observed throwing a can of Sprite into a wooded area and was also found in possession of an open can of beer. A 50-year-old man was taken into custody on the bench warrant charging him with Trespass, a violation. He was arraigned in village court and released on his own recognizance. The other man was issued summonses for Public Consumption of an Alcoholic Beverage and Littering, violations. They are returnable to village court on June 25.
An officer on patrol in Kirby Plaza at 4:36 p.m. observed a man known to him to have multiple open warrants and took him into custody. The 55-year-old was found to have seven active warrants charging him with Trespass, a violation. He was booked and held for arraignment, where he was released on his own recognizance.
A complaint was received at 10:43 a.m. regarding a traffic condition on Main Street at Croton Avenue due to work being done by Con Edison. A patrol sergeant responded and spoke with the Con Ed crew to facilitate a better flow of traffic past the work area.
An officer responded to Carlton Drive at 10:18 a.m. to meet with a resident who was the victim of a telephone fraud scam. A report was prepared. The matter was turned over to detectives for continued investigation.
A woman called police at 11:21 a.m. to report that her laundry had been stolen from a laundromat on Lexington Avenue. Upon arrival, an officer learned the woman had located her laundry and did not need police assistance.
A woman came to the Green Street precinct at 4:19 p.m. to report that she was concerned her brother had been tricked into co-signing a mortgage for another person, which is now affecting his credit. The officer was able to speak with the brother, who said he knowingly co-signed for a friend because he wanted to help her out. The initial complainant was advised that no criminal behavior was involved and the issue was not a police matter.
A woman came to the Green Street precinct at 4:35 p.m. to submit bank statements associated with an ongoing fraud investigation. The detective investigating the fraud was not present, so an officer accepted the documents and prepared a report documenting that they had been submitted as requested.
A noise complaint was received at 11:28 p.m. on Foxwood Circle. A resident told an officer that her upstairs neighbor had been dropping heavy objects on the floor to annoy her. The upstairs resident denied doing so and said his neighbor may have heard his dog jumping off the bed.

After verifying that the beer was open and some had been consumed, she issued the man a summons for Public Consumption of an Alcoholic Beverage, a violation. An officer on patrol at Lexington Avenue and Main Street at 2:17 p.m. observed two men sitting in a wooded area, one of them holding a can of beer. That man was issued a summons for Public Consumption of an Alcoholic Beverage, a violation. It is returnable to village court on June 25.
Officers responded to South Moger Avenue at 5:33 p.m. on a report of a fight in progress involving a group of youths. An 18-year-old was taken into custody inside Starbucks, where he was observed fighting with another youth whom he had chased into the store. The 18-year-old was charged with Disorderly Conduct, a violation. The victim declined to press any charges connected with the fight. After subsequent investigation, it was determined that another youth had been assaulted outside by a teen swinging a Razor scooter at him. The suspect in that incident, a 17-year-old, was placed under arrest for Assault 3rd Degree and Menacing 2nd Degree. He was booked at the Green Street precinct and released with his mother’s permission to a family friend. The youth’s case was referred to Westchester Family Court due to his age.
Report received at 8:47 a.m. of possible squatters inside a vacant home on Woodland Street. Officers found a door unlocked and entered the premises, but no one was present. The village manager’s office was apprised.
Report received at 9:36 a.m. of a man behaving erratically inside T.J. Maxx on East Main Street. Condition corrected.
Officers responded to ShopRite on North Bedford Road at 11:33 a.m. on a report of two small children left unattended in a car parked in the store lot. Upon arrival, officers saw that the children’s mother had returned to the vehicle and was beginning to drive away. She was detained for investigation. The woman told officers she needed to use the bathroom and was inside the store for only five minutes, though store personnel said it was longer. She was advised of the dangers associated with leaving her 3-year-old and 1-year-old unattended, even in a locked car for a short period of time. Child Protective Services was advised of the incident, and a caseworker said the agency would follow up with the family. The woman was issued a summons for having her youngest child in a forward-facing car seat rather than a rear-facing seat. Officers reinstalled the car seat to bring it into compliance with state law.
A business in Kirby Plaza reported at 9:17 a.m. that a break-in had occurred overnight. A window was broken to gain entry and some cash was taken from the register. Security video showed a person breaking the window and climbing inside at 3:55 a.m. The matter was turned over to detectives for continued investigation.
A resident came to the Green Street precinct at 3:55 p.m. to report that he was the victim of fraud. The man reported that he sent $7,000 to a person he thought was an attorney but now has determined he was scammed. A report was prepared and detectives will continue the investigation.
Officers responded to St. Mark’s Place at 4:11 p.m. on a report of a domestic dispute between a mother and adult daughter. The mother said she was menaced with a frying pan during the incident but she did not wish to pursue charges. Due to the presence of a minor during the incident, Child Protective Services was notified and opened an investigation. Both parties separated and made plans to stay elsewhere for the night. A Domestic Incident Report was prepared.
Welfare check requested on a possibly intoxicated man sitting on the steps of the American Legion on Legion Way. A responding officer requested EMS to assist.
Intoxicated man found in the Blackeby parking lot at 3:04 a.m. EMS requested. The man was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
A woman came to the Green Street precinct at 6:28 a.m. to turn in a wallet she found in the Blackeby parking lot. The wallet belonged to the man who was brought to the hospital several hours earlier. An officer brought the wallet to the hospital to return it to him.
An officer was dispatched back to the Green Street precinct at 10:15 a.m. to meet a man seeking to file a fraud complaint. The man reported that someone had opened a credit card account using his name and social security number but he was able to cancel the card before any purchases were made. He requested a report be prepared for documentation of the fraud attempt.
Officers responded to East Way at 6:02 p.m. on a report of an open door at a residence that had been sealed as a result of a probate process. Officers searched the premises and found no intruders or damage. No signs of forced entry were found. The premises were secured. Initial efforts to contact relatives of the deceased owner of the property were not successful but are continuing.
A Spring Street resident reported at 8:56 a.m. that a man walked into her residence about 11 p.m. the previous night. The man did not say anything and then left. The woman said she wanted to document the incident. She was advised to call police immediately if the man returns to her property.
A man came to the Green Street precinct at 10:44 a.m. to report that he had received a threatening text message earlier that morning. Investigation continuing.
An officer on patrol on Sarles Avenue at 4 p.m. recognized a man he knew to have open warrants issued by Mount Kisco Justice Court. The 22-year-old was taken into custody and booked on the warrants charging him with five counts of trespass and public consumption of an alcoholic beverage, disorderly conduct and littering. After investigation, he was additionally charged with third-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief and petit larceny in connection with a May 31 burglary in Kirby Plaza. He was held for arraignment and released on his own recognizance at 7:40 p.m. following arraignment.
A woman came to the Green Street precinct at 5:02 p.m. to report a domestic assault that occurred May 30. She told police she was punched and choked by the father of her child during an argument over custody. Although she did not report the incident at the time, she now wishes to pursue criminal charges. A Domestic Incident Report was prepared and a Lethality Screening was conducted. An officer connected the victim with a member of the High Risk Domestic Violence Team at Westchester Medical Center for ongoing assistance and support. (Note: A 50-year-old man was charged June 5 with third-degree assault and harassment in connection with this incident.)
A woman came to the Green Street precinct at 5:50 p.m. to request information about obtaining an order of protection. She and a social worker who accompanied her were provided with the relevant information.
Officers responded to Parkview Place at 10:38 p.m. on a report of a domestic dispute in progress between two men. One of the men was found to be intoxicated and in an emotional state. EMS was requested and Mount Kisco VAC transported the man to the hospital. A Domestic Incident Report was prepared.
Officers responded to North Moger Avenue at 11:29 p.m. on a report of a domestic dispute and criminal mischief. A resident reported that he had argued with his girlfriend, who then keyed his car with the letters “F.U.” before driving off. The man declined to press charges but said he wanted to document the incident. A Domestic Incident Report was prepared.
