A 17-year-old Yorktown resident, whose name is being withheld by police because of youthful offender status, has been charged with juvenile delinquency. The underlying charge, if committed by an adult, would be second-degree aggravated harassment, a Class A misdemeanor.
Police said they received a report on July 29, 2025, that the teenage girl had posted multiple social media messages that caused a victim to feel alarmed, annoyed and afraid for their safety. Police contacted the adult responsible for the teen, who brought her to the station.
The teen was issued a juvenile appearance ticket and released to a guardian. She’s due to appear at the Westchester County Department of Probation on Jan. 22 at 3 p.m.
A 41-year-old Beacon man has been charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class A misdemeanor.
Police said that on Jan. 9 an officer was on patrol on Route 6 when he saw a grey Nissan Versa fail to maintain its lane and cross over the fog line. A traffic stop was conducted and police found Ryan Knapp, a backseat passenger in the car, in possession of a quantity of a controlled substance. He was arrested and transported to police headquarters for processing.
He was issued an appearance ticket and released. He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Jan. 29 at 6 p.m.
A 21-year-old Yorktown resident has been charged with petit larceny, a Class A misdemeanor, after police said they received a report on Jan. 12 from the security manager at Coco Farms Gas Station on Barger Street regarding a larceny that occurred on Jan. 9.
The man is accused of stealing $13.99 worth of items from the business.
The man voluntarily turned himself in to Yorktown Police Headquarters later that day and was released with an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Jan. 29 at 6 p.m.
A 33-year-old Mahopac man was cited on Jan. 13 at 4:15 a.m. for being in Sylvan Glen Park Reserve outside of its hours of operation—a violation of the town code.
He was issued an appearance ticket for the violation and is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on Feb. 10 at 4 p.m.
A 17-year-old Yorktown teen, whose name is being withheld under youthful offender rules, is accused of trespassing and throwing stones that damaged windows on a Saw Mill River Road property late last year. If he were an adult, he would face a charge of third-degree criminal mischief, a Class E felony.
Police say the teen was identified during an investigation after a vehicle carrying him and other teens returned to the scene. At the time, the teens were brought to Yorktown Police Headquarters and released to their guardians, pending further investigation. The teen later turned himself in, alongside a guardian, to police on Jan. 13.
He’s scheduled to appear in Westchester County Court on Jan. 22.
