Candidates running on the Republican/Conservative lines won each of the local races in the Town of Carmel, with incumbent Supervisor Mike Cazzari winning a third term, incumbent Mike Lugo winning his first full term, and former Town Board member Robert Schanil returning to the board to fill a seat left open by the retirement of fellow Republican Suzi McDonough.
In county races with local implications, voters returned District 9 legislator Erin Crowley to her seat for a second term and elected Acting Sheriff Brian Hess to his first full term.
