MOUNT KISCO CHAMBER CORNER

Reflecting on SeptemberFest—and looking ahead

Posted

As the October nights grow cooler, we are reminded that autumn is here. With that, the Mount Kisco Chamber of Commerce can reflect on SeptemberFest 2026. The crowds were energetic and mighty on Friday and Saturday. We are sorry that we couldn’t keep the rain at bay on Sunday, but grateful for the two terrific days we had! Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the Chamber of Commerce and Mount Kisco.

The smells and tastes that wafted from the Food Court enticed many hungry revelers, and we thank our vendors: Big Fish, Tipsy Taco, Mobile Pie, Stone Fire, Sweets & Treats, Exit 4, Leonard Park Wines & Spirits, and Ben & Jerry’s!

The 2026 music lineup was another outstanding assortment of local talent, and the crowds felt the vibes! Thank you to Alex Smoller of True Tone Sound for producing the weekend of sound. Over 70 vendors participated in the best Street Fair ever; thank you for your support.  The Street Fair continues to drive thousands of people into Mount Kisco, and we are thrilled with the quality and diversity of vendors. Kids and adults alike were drawn to the Carnival, the sounds, lights, and thrill of it all. Another excellent SeptemberFest!

October brings the excitement of Trick-or-Treat in Mount Kisco. After the morning at Leonard Park, the MK Chamber is hosting downtown trick-or-treating at businesses from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24. We will also host the ever-popular pet costume parade, with trophies! Come fill your bag with treats and register your pet to walk the red carpet! Trustee Heather Bryant, the Economic Development Council, and the Mount Kisco Chamber of Commerce hosted a Community Chat with the latest information on the Preston Way bridge. The forum drew a strong crowd and featured excellent questions. Some were answered promptly; others still need clarification. We will continue the Community Chat series monthly with relevant topics. Everyone is invited, so please check the Village and Chamber Facebook pages. Village Manager Ed Brancati gave an update at the Village Board meeting on Monday, Sept. 28. You can watch it on Facebook and on the municipal channel on TV.

We want to thank our community for its continued support of both the businesses and the village in general. This is the best community around, and we want you to know we recognize and appreciate it.
