Dorothy Robblee

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Dorothy Robblee on March 6, 2026, in Allendale, New Jersey. Born in The Bronx on October 21, 1933, the youngest daughter of Samuel and Sarah Levine touched many lives with grace, kindness, and love across the 92 years we were blessed to have her. Dorothy was an avid reader and word aficionado, whose favorite book was the dictionary as a child. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and embroidery, sitting beside her beloved Ted while he watched the Red Sox on TV. Although raised as a Yankees fan, she shed tears of joy and relief when Ted finally saw the Red Sox win a World Series. Dorothy was the family glue and a three-time cancer survivor, who exemplified unmatched resilience and quiet dignity. She retained her keen wit and sense of humor until she closed her eyes for the last time. Devoted wife to the late Theodore “Ted” Robblee, beloved mother of Sharon Robblee and her husband Charles Magnus, Karen, Scott and his wife Jacqui, and Lori, cherished grandmother, and great grandmother. Dorothy is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Elaine and brother Norman.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the New York Public Library (nypl.org/give) or the American Cancer Society (cancer.org) in memory of Dorothy Robblee.
