David Charles Pulvermiller, beloved son, brother, uncle, friend and colleague, passed peacefully on Thursday, July 2, 2026. David resided in Manorville, NY.

David was born in 1966 in Mount Vernon Hospital and raised in Yorktown Heights, NY. He was the youngest of seven children. His family shares a lifetime of fond memories growing with David. Northern Westchester offers a wonderful mix of suburbs and wilderness. David took advantage, enjoying fishing trips with his father in a rowboat on Amawalk Reservoir as well as exploring nearby lakes, streams and wooded areas with friends. Summers were spent swimming and winters ice skating at Sparkle Lake. David became a sports and outdoor enthusiast, passions he enjoyed throughout his life.

David attended and flourished at Yorktown High School. He participated in student government and was active in interscholastic sports, lettering in soccer. He graduated in 1984 and pursued his undergraduate work at Plattsburgh State College in upstate New York. There he fueled his love of the outdoors, attending the Miner Institute, a program offering nature-based curriculum. He graduated Plattsburgh in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science.

David worked for 20+ years at Nova Group, GBC as a project manager. David took his work and career very seriously. He worked tirelessly and was highly regarded by his employer and colleagues. His work took him throughout New York State and beyond. He loved the travel and opportunities to see new sights and meet new colleagues and friends.

David loved the rural and rich farm history of Eastern Long Island. He wrote about such and, to borrow one of his lines: “… for some Long Islanders, life does not exist in the Hamptons, but rather in the rich and storied plow fields …”. As with most of us, however, David also enjoyed more contemporary pursuits. He lived on a golf course and was an avid and accomplished golfer. He was also an excellent downhill skier.

David was a warm and gentle soul, always close with and beloved by his countless nieces, nephews and godchildren. He was richly loved and will be missed by all who had the opportunity to know him.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church, Moseman Avenue, Yorktown Heights on Saturday, August 8 at 10:30am. Condolences may be sent to the Pulvermiller Family at 2821 Sarles Drive, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to The American Heart Association.
