Crowley returned to county legislature

Republican/Conservative Erin L. Crowley was reelected to the Putnam County Legislature’s District 9 with nearly 55 percent of the vote, defeating Democratic/Working Families candidate Lenny Harrington, who received about 45 percent. There were also two write-in votes.

District 9 includes parts of Mahopac.

Crowley — who works in constituent services as U.S. Rep. Mike Lawler’s deputy district director — said before the election that helping residents navigate federal agencies and resolve issues involving government programs gives her insight into how government operates and where it can be improved, fueling her approach to her work on the county level.
