Corinne M. Tuccito, of Brewster, NY, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Westchester Medical Center with her family by her side. She was 65 years old.
Corinne, affectionately known as Connie, was born December 23, 1958, in Jersey City to Alan and Carrol (Tilley) Johnson. She was raised in Jersey City, New Jersey where she graduated from Henry Snyder High School in 1976. She worked for Cadbury Schweppes for a number of years before changing careers to do her favorite job of all, raising her children.
Connie met the love of her life, Michael Tuccito of the Bronx, at Brunswick Bowling Alley, in Yonkers. Mike bowled a lucky strike when he met Connie, and he won her over with his ability to always make her laugh. They married on August 15, 1987, at Lake Isle Country Club in Eastchester, and settled in Brewster where they raised their family.
First and foremost, Connie was a devoted mother and wife. She was a long-time scrapbooker, a lover of music and dancing, and always sang at the top of her lungs (even if it was a little off-key). She never missed a school play, concert, or orchestra event. For Mike and Connie, there was always a reason to celebrate, whether it was for their friends, their children’s friends, or family. Their home was always open. They enjoyed traveling to Daytona Beach every summer, stopping along the way to visit friends and family. They were married for 37 years.
Those who knew Connie knew her smile, her strength, her kindness, and her huge heart. She was an angel on earth and beloved by many. She was a second mom to many of her children's friends and was recently the “flower mama” at her daughter's wedding.
She is survived by her husband Michael; her daughter Christina (Achilles) Richardson; her son Michael P. Tuccito; her mother in law Mildred Tuccito, her sisters Alice, Helen and Sharon; her brother and sister in law Joseph and Cheryl Tuccito; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She is predeceased by her daughter Samantha, her mother Carrol, her father Alan and her Aunt Bonnie.
A service will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024 from 2 until 6 p.m. at Beecher Funeral Home, One Putnam Avenue, in Brewster.
Donations in celebration of Connie’s life may be made to The Aneurysm and AVM Foundation (TAAF), 182 Howard St. Box 715, San Francisco, CA 94105, or to your charity of choice.
