Conley can help restore a Democratic majority

Cait Conley is running against Mike Lawler in the 17th congressional district, which is instrumental for Democrats to regain the majority in the House of Representatives, along with committee chairs and House leadership.

She is running to regain a spine representing a voice (our voice) to thwart ongoing efforts to dismantle our constitutional rights and democracy.

Cait emerges from a fourth generation Hudson Valley blue collar working class family, first to attend college, graduating from West Point in the top 2% of her graduating class. Cait was deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan six times in a leadership capacity in special ops and combat, earning three bronze stars in defense of our democracy. Cait also earned master’s degrees at both MIT and Harvard universities.

I met Cait at a meet and greet to listen and learn where she stands on substantive core issues that impact us in the 17th, such as healthcare and its affordability impacting all of us, and our insurance premiums, which are already skyrocketing. Protecting against cuts to Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security, Cait will be our voice. Investing in education through the prioritizing of BOCES, community colleges, career and technical schools, Cait will be our voice. Clean energy, which will create a new job economy, is in the process of being dismantled, with millions of acres of parklands being set aside for new drilling. Cait will be our voice with a vision to our future. An unauthorized war in Iran, doubling what we pay at the pump, higher grocery costs and living in the northeast our soon to be oil deliveries, Cait will be our voice in Congress.

Super PACs enabled by our Supreme court are pouring millions of dollars into the 17th district. Cait knows her campaign sows its seeds from the grass roots. Democrats, independents, those yet to register to vote and Republicans need to change the narrative and vote out all Republicans who have rubber stamped President Trump and his ongoing efforts to strip away our democracy and the fraud perpetrated on all Americans. We need Cait Conley; her leadership, her voice and her defense of our freedoms have never been more urgent. Every vote counts. Vote Cait Conley.
