Candidates need more than criticism

Dear Editor,

Jann Mirchandani touts various safety concerns ("Safety basics shouldn't be optional," Aug. 6, Page 28), yet doesn’t necessarily have any answers to what she perceives to be a problem.

I have attended many sporting events at Granite Knolls, and have noticed that the players and spectators generally bring plenty of liquid replenishment. In her mentioning of the Underhill Farms and their not being necessary fire equipment, please take notice that the sixth-grade school is probably similar in height and has been in the town much longer than I can remember. In making apartments, it is inviting people to stay in town or move into town that presently cannot afford a new home or wish to downsize while remaining with their families.

Though I don’t know enough about solar panels, to me it appears that they will become a future problem when they are past their useful life. As to a canopy, cars will get just as hot as they would without the canopy or if they were in your driveway at home. I would appreciate it if the candidates could give solutions instead of just pointing out what is wrong.
