BEDFORD, N.Y. - On Nov. 4, Bedford voters overwhelmingly passed a proposition to increase funding to three town libraries, according to unofficial results from the Westchester County Board of Elections.
The measure had 3,757 votes in favor to 756 against.
The measure approved a $2,628,845 annual town contribution to be shared for library operations in Bedford, Bedford Hills, and Katonah.
In the rest of the town’s uncontested races, Supervisor Ellen Calves was re-elected after receiving 3,017 votes, Town Clerk Allie Whalen garnered 3,053 votes, Town Justice Jodi Kimmell received 3,025 votes, and Town Board candidates Stephanie McCaine and Midge Iorio received 2,943 and 2,736 votes, respectively, according to unofficial results.
