SHRUB OAK, N.Y. —Yorktown residents braved the cold on the evening of Saturday, Dec. 14 for the Shrub Oak Holiday Tree-lighting. With the Shrub Oak tree so close to the heart of late Supervisor Tom Diana, it was poignant and fitting that his wife Donna MC’d the event, which took place along Tom Diana Memorial Highway in front of Hart Library. The festivities included a selection of holiday songs and some VIP guests—including the Golden Apple Chorus, Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (sans the red nose) and, of course, Santa.
