Dear Editor,
Have you gone somewhere on Route 35?
Have you tried to make a left?
Have you tried to stay alive?
What about a left into the Triangle Shopping Center?
Have you tried that lately?
How long did it take to enter?
The traffic is so bad you can wait and wait and wait.
Or you can take your chances,
And leave it up to fate.
Mornings can be gruesome if you’re headed to the Taconic.
School hours and evenings can be worse.
The problem is so chronic.
Shortcuts like Glen Rock, Ridge, and Hallocks Mill are ever more popular.
It can take so long to get home.
As the traffic gets more and more spectacular.
So, leave plenty of time as from here to there you go.
Drivers are so frustrated they don’t always do what’s right.
Time to drop “Preservation” from our ignored old motto.
How about we make it better before we make it worse.
So, when planning for a new project anywhere in town.
Ensure we can make a left without screaming out a curse.
