MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. - The Mount Kisco Conservation Advisory Council (CAC) and partner organizations are gearing up for the 8th Annual Photography Exhibition: “The Nature, Culture and People of Mount Kisco.”
Entries are currently being accepted and the deadline for submitting photos is Sept. 7, 2025. Digital files should be sent to kiscophoto@gmail.com. All photos must have been taken in Mount Kisco. There is no entry fee.
Photographers may submit up to two images in each of four categories: Nature, Culture, People, and Sesquicentennial, but it is not necessary to submit photos in all categories.
The special Sesquicentennial category highlights the 150th anniversary of the Village’s incorporation in 1875 with pictures of this year’s celebrations including parades, exhibitions, events, historic locations, or old personal photos.
Sixty selected images will be on display in the public library this November, while all entries will be displayed in the online gallery at KiscoPhoto.org.
While technical quality is important, the highest regard will be given to pictures that tell a compelling story or effectively express the photographers’ thoughts or feelings about the Village.
A Gala Opening Reception will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 12, at 5:30 p.m., with Certificates of Merit for the “best” photos in the show, special recognition of young photographers (below age 18); and refreshments and music for all.
Photographers of all ages and skill levels are invited to submit their favorite pictures via email. To request an entry form and more information, send an email to kiscophoto@gmail.com. The exhibition is a project of the Mount Kisco CAC, Mount Kisco Historical Society, Mount Kisco Arts Council, and Mount Kisco Tree Preservation Board.
