SOMERS, N.Y. - Local veterans and their spouses are invited to attend an upcoming informational session focused on military benefits, hosted by the Somers Veterans Committee.
The event will take place on Thursday, April 23, at 2 p.m. at the Amawalk Fire House, located at 1 Liberty Way in Amawalk. The program is being presented in partnership with the Westchester County Veterans Service Agency.
Guest speaker and service agent Dan Griffin will lead the session. Griffin is expected to provide valuable insight into the range of benefits available to veterans, including assistance programs and entitlements that many may not be fully aware of.
Organizers say the event is open to all Somers veterans and their spouses, offering an opportunity to learn more about available resources and ask questions in a supportive, community-based setting.
Due to limited space, registration is required. Those interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP through the Somers Supervisor’s Office by calling 914-277-3637 or emailing info@somersny.gov.
The event is part of an ongoing effort to ensure local veterans are informed about the benefits they have earned through their service.
