SOMERS, N.Y. - A Croton-on-Hudson man is facing multiple charges after allegedly stalking his ex-girlfriend in Somers.
On Monday, April 28, the victim filed a report with state Police in Somers alleging that another vehicle had almost collided with her car. She further explained that the driver of the other car resembled her ex-boyfriend who was the subject of a Temporary Order of Protection.
The New York State Police Somers Bureau of Criminal Investigation was able to determine that the driver was in fact her ex-boyfriend, Ralph V. Sedlmayer, 39, of Croton-on-Hudson.
After an investigation, it was revealed that Sedlmayer was seen in close proximity to the victim on multiple occasions and had also created a social media account used to contact the victim in violation of the court order.
Sedlmayer was arrested and charged with Criminal Contempt in the First Degree (class E felony), Stalking in the Fourth Degree (class B misdemeanor), Harassment in the First Degree (class B misdemeanor) and Menacing in the Second Degree – Violation of Order of Protection (class A misdemeanor).
He was arraigned in the Town of Somers Court and remanded to Westchester County Jail on $750 cash bail. He is due back in court on May 19.
