Dear Editor,
Your entire argument regarding immigration and the blame you attribute to Democrats is totally disingenuous ("No Kings-and no double standards," Oct. 23, Page 22).
Conservative Republican Sen. James Langford worked for many months with Democratic colleagues on a $120 billion comprehensive immigration bill. It was brought to Congress for passage in May 2024, when then-candidate Donald Trump told all the Republicans to oppose the bill. If the bill had passed, there would be no need for ICE raids, troops in our cities, or the deportation of millions of people.
