WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - More than 50 Stepinac High School students, including several local scholars, were recently inducted into the school’s National Honor Society (NHS) St. Thomas More Chapter.

Fr. Thomas Collins congratulated each student during the annual ceremony at the renowned all-boys Catholic high school, with students’ families and members of the administration and faculty in attendance.

The honorees included Bedford’s Michael Oronzio, Cross River’s William Currid, North Salem’s Liam Smith, and Michael Nelson of Yorktown Heights.

The NHS was created to recognize the nation's outstanding high school students. Each year, students are inducted into Stepinac’s chapter based on their high academic performance, their service to the school and community, their demonstrated leadership skills and their good character.
