Halston Media
"As we approach this season of gratitude, I am deeply thankful for our incredible clients and loyal readers. I am grateful for the trust our clients place in us to share their messages, helping them connect with our community in meaningful ways. To our readers, thank you for your engagement, your loyalty, and your continued support of our publications. You are the reason we work tirelessly to bring relevant, high-quality news and stories to your mailbox.
"I also want to extend my heartfelt thanks to my colleagues, whose dedication, creativity, and hard work make everything we do possible. Every day, I am inspired by your passion and commitment to our shared goals, and I’m truly grateful to be part of such a talented and supportive team. My thanks also extends to the many vendors we work with, from those who print and deliver our papers and perform other essential tasks that keep us running smoothly.
"On a more personal note, I am immensely thankful for my family — my wife, whose love and support strengthen me in countless ways; my children, who bring joy and meaning to my life; and my parents, whose guidance and wisdom have shaped who I am today. I am equally grateful for my extended family, whose encouragement and presence are a constant source of comfort and pride.
"Lastly, I am thankful for America, a place that values freedom, opportunity, and community. The strength of our country comes from the shared ideals that unite us. I am honored to live in a place that allows us to grow, dream and connect with one another. This Thanksgiving, I wish you all the joy and warmth of the season and hope that each of us can take a moment to recognize the blessings in our lives."
-Brett Freeman, Publisher & CEO

-Tom Walogorsky, Halston Media Editor-in-Chief

-Bruce Heller, Business Development Specialist
"Of course, I am thankful for my loving family and friends. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work with the BEST CLIENTS EVER!"
-Pam Zacotinsky, Marketing Director, Seasonal Highlights
"I am grateful to my community. I am blessed to have a supportive family in so many ways. They know that I am a huge supporter of small businesses. My business partners are some of my favorite people in my life as well. I feel blessed I can work with them and socialize with them as well.
"I could not be who I am without my children, Diana and Michael. My daughter and my “son-in-love” became parents last year and I was promoted to “MIMI.” My granddaughter is my sunshine. This is my favorite title, which trumps Mom.
My son Michael, who has his own business, MVP Junk Removal, just continues to make me happy with his business accomplishments and his dedication to helping others in the community as well. I couldn’t forget the person who has also molded me into who I am and that is my mother, Helga. She was a small business owner back in the 80s, running a stationery store in Lincolndale while raising four children. She always showed poise, grace and integrity in what she did. She and my late father taught me “community “ through their involvement in local clubs and organizations. I will be forever grateful for that life lesson.
"I want to take this opportunity to wish our readers and friends a joyous holiday season filled with love, respect, family time and fun. After all, we are on this earth for a short visit!"
-Corinne Stanton, Director of Client & Community Relations
"I am always thankful for my family and friends, near and far, especially my wife and children. They always stick by you no matter what, through thick and thin. I am also thankful for living in a country where you can speak your mind, have diverse opinions, and still respect each other at the end of the day. Finally, I am thankful for our military and first responders, whose job it is to keep us safe. God bless America, land of the free!"
-Jay Gussak, Digital Ad Director
"I am thankful for all the people that have made a difference in my life."
-Lisa Kain, Director, New Business Development
"I am thankful to our regional news media company for enabling me to build Hudson Valley Living, a brand that resonates with our readers and provides a vital platform for local businesses to reach their communities. Today, Hudson Valley Living stands as a relevant source of information, woven into the fabric of our communities. As publisher Brett Freeman once said, "Every newspaper needs a special section like Hudson Valley Living." I am grateful for the opportunity to develop this brand and help strengthen our company’s role as a resource for the vibrant communities we serve."
-Vim Wilkinson, Editor of Hudson Valley Living
"I feel blessed to live in such a beautiful and historic part of the Hudson Valley. These past two years have been unusually rough for me, so when I’m feeling stressed, sad, or simply in need of some peace and quiet, I take myself down to the river where I can watch the birds (gulls, eagles, ducks, geese, etc.), sailboats, and animals (deer, rabbits, squirrels, turtles, fox, wild turkeys, and even bats), listen to the waves lapping gently at its shore, marvel at the majesty of the rolling Hudson Highlands, and soak up yet another spectacular sunset. It does my heart good to see other folks enjoying themselves as well. They’re walking their dogs, playing with their children, having a picnic, or strolling hand in hand. It reassures me that the entire world hasn’t yet gone to heck in a handbasket."
-Carol Reif, Reporter
"Putting aside having my health, always knowing my next meal is assured and having a roof over my head, I am thankful for a few things. I’m thankful for still being able to compete in my two favorite sports - volleyball and softball. They are my social life, and I get a ton of laughter and satisfaction from both. I’m also thankful for my ability to make people laugh, and the confidence I have in myself to be able to always sling the humor. As for what gets me through each day, it’s my writing. Like a lot of people, I struggled through the education and career I initially chose. Computer science and math oriented study was my single minded focus, and I eventually bottomed out. Writing came to me almost as a mistake, and as I continue to write, I realize it fit my real talents like a glove. I can’t believe how lucky I am. All the wonderful feedback and praise I get ain’t bad either. Of course none of this would be possible without the family that raised me - my mother, father, brother, sister, grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins."
-Rich Monetti, Contributing Writer
"At 85, I’m grateful I can still:
Embrace the family I love;
Continue doing the work I love;
Enjoy the rewards a long life brings.
I’m thankful most of all for Madeline, my wife of 60 years, without whom none of those other things would be possible."
-Tom Bartley, Contributing Writer
