Terri Davis of Philadelphia, NY passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Friday, August 8, 2025, following a brief illness.
An incredibly loving mother, grandmother, sister and daughter, she was the consummate caretaker, always giving of her time and putting others first. Terri proved particularly invaluable in caring for her parents as their health deteriorated and her sons and grandchildren were her pride and joy.
Raised in Thousand Island Park, Terri attended LaFargeville Central School, where she excelled academically and made lifelong friends. She attended SUNY Geneseo and had a very successful career, including over twenty years working for the State of New York.
A huge tennis enthusiast, Terri played in area leagues and enjoyed the fellowship of partners and opponents alike. Her serve was both envied and feared. Having grown up on the River, Terri also enjoyed swimming, boating and kayaking. She was equally happy in her immaculately kept home, tending to her flowers or cooking and baking.
Terri will be profoundly missed by her sons Stephen of Clayton, NY and Bryan (Ashlynn) of Redwood, NY and their children Claire and Archer; brothers Greg (Debbie) of Fairhaven, NY and Michael of Redwood, NY; sisters Tracey Duffy of East Aurora, NY and Tina (Jeff) Connors of Wyoming, PA; and several nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Lynn “Buggy” and Rita Davis of Thousand Island Park.
Funeral arrangements are private but anyone wishing to honor Terri is asked to please consider a donation to Jefferson County SPCA (or the charity of their choice).
