February is here, and with it comes one of the most exciting seasons in the travel industry: Wave Season!
We call it that because so many travelers are looking to escape their winter climates, and I know that’s especially true for us here in Westchester. Who else is still buried under feet of ice and snow?
The term Wave Season also acts as a nod to the type of trips we see so many travelers showing interest in this time of year…cruising! Cruises, for those who have never been, offer a one-stop-shop alternative to other styles of travel, an escape that feels particularly enticing after the decision fatigue of the holidays.
And I’m not immune to it! Cruising is one of my absolute favorite style of vacations, and I’m rounding up some of my preferred promotions currently on offer to help make reserving your cabin easier.
I may have a partiality to Disney Cruise Line, but I truly believe this line offers one of the best style of vacations for families traveling with kids. And there’s some great offers to take advantage of this month. Disney Cruise Line is offering 20% off select sailings with an additional $250 in free onboard credit. There’s also a more general 35% off select sailing, for those looking at different dates.
Royal Caribbean is another pick of mine for family travel, as the kids entertainment is really excellent. And the private island is designed so both adults and children can have a fantastic time! Some great promos out of Royal Caribbean this month include pay for one guest and get the second 60% off, as well as free third and fourth guests on select sailings.
If you’re looking for something a bit more upscale, I love recommending Celebrity Cruise Line. These ships are going to be fantastic for guests looking for less kids-centric travel, with relaxing spaces and sophisticated decor. For 2026, Celebrity is offering up to 75% off second sailors, as well as free fares for third, fourth and fifth guests on select itineraries.
Princess Cruise Line is also a fantastic choice for adult travelers looking for relaxation and pampering while also maintaining a fun atmosphere. This spring, Princess Cruises is offering up to 40% off sailings and free fares for third and fourth guests, subject to certain itineraries. Some sailings even come with a $25 minimum deposit, making this an incredibly accessible vacation to get on the calendar!
Honestly, these deals have even tempted me. I’ve taken advantage of a few myself already. There’s something about a cruise vacation that I find so appealing. I think it’s the check in and check out mentality of it all. I pay one fare, board my ship, and my lodgings, food and entertainment are all provided for. I get to wake up every morning in a different location, without having to worry about any of the transportation logistics. It’s all taken care of for me!
