NORTH SALEM, N.Y. - To recognize and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation, the community gathered on May 26 for North Salem’s Memorial Day parade.
The festive procession, which included the North Salem High School band, local Scout Troops, and community organizations, marched to a remembrance ceremony at the Westchester Exceptional Children's School.
Dr. John O’Hanlon of the American Legion, Pastor Timothy Wagner of Croton Falls Community Church, and Town Supervisor Warren Lucas, all offered remarks, while Deputy Supervisor Peter Kamenstein read aloud the list of local residents who gave their lives in service to our country.
