Healing through horses: Pegasus Therapeutic Riding unveils new Hope Arena

Posted

BREWSTER, N.Y. - Pegasus Therapeutic Riding is expanding services for military veterans, first responders, and trauma survivors.

The keystone of the new initiative is Hope Arena, a dedicated space for equine-assisted programs that are focused on, the Brewster organization says, “healing, resilience, and emotional well-being.”

The covered structure will allow participation in activities throughout the year, regardless of the weather.

It was made possible in part through the generosity and support of Carl and Nora Rohde, who were there to snip the red ribbon during the recent official opening.

“The need for these services continues to grow,” said Executive Director Candice Sciarrillo. “Hope Arena gives us a safe, reliable space where participants can experience the healing power of connecting with horses throughout the year.”
