Sealed proposals for performing the work herein described will be received by the Town Board of North Salem, NY, at the Office of the Town Clerk, 270 Titicus Road, North Salem, NY 10560, until January 16, 2026 at 10:00am and immediately thereafter the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in said office.
The work will consist of the installation of eight heat pumps in three Town buildings as per the attached document.
Contract documents may be obtained at the above office of the Town Clerk on December 22, 2025 upon payment of a cash deposit of $15.00 for each set, which will be refunded upon return of said Contract Documents in good condition within 10 days after receipt of Bids. The document is also available from the Town website at no cost, https://www.northsalemny.org/bids
Bids shall be made on the separate Bid Proposal Forms and must be accompanied by a Bid Bond acceptable to the Town or a certified cashier's check drawn on a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 5% of the total amount of the bid. Checks shall be made payable to the Town of North Salem, New York, and are to be held by the Town as a guarantee for the proper execution and delivery of the Contract and bonds to secure the faithful performance thereof. In default of such execution and delivery of Contract and Bonds, the amount of the deposit represented by the check shall be forfeited to and retained by the Town of as liquidated damages.
An onsite review of the buildings can be made by any company bidding on this project at any time. A meeting will be held on January 7, 2026 at 10am at the Town Hall site at 266 Titicus Road, North Salem, NY to review proposals and answer any questions.
Proposals shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the Bidder, addressed to the Town of North Salem, Town Hall, 270 Titicus Road, North Salem, New York 10560 and endorsed “High-Efficiency heat Pump Installations”, Town of North Salem, New York.
The Town of North Salem reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any informality in any Bid, and to award the Contract to other than the lowest Bidder if deemed in the best interest of the Town to do so.
