NORTH SALEM, N.Y. - After coming up short in last year’s section final, North Salem’s volleyball team entered the season with unfinished business.
The Tigers have had their eye on the prize since opening day, battering opponents en route to capturing their first league title since 2002.
Entering the playoffs as the #1 seed, the squad hosted Haldane for a semifinal matchup on Nov. 6. The Blue Devils were no match for North Salem in a 25-19, 25-18, 25-17 sweep.
The return to the section title game will see a familiar opponent across the court in the #2 seed Tuckahoe Tigers, the same squad who upended North Salem’s postseason hopes a year ago.
The Tigers will hope to bring home the sectional crown at the Westchester County Center on Sunday, Nov. 9 at 11 a.m.
