NORTH SALEM, N.Y. - This season, North Salem's track team will have a young roster, with many freshmen and sophomores looking to make their mark.
On the girls team, junior captain Emma Gautier will look to build on last spring’s success that saw her make the state qualifiers for the 400M hurdles. Also poised for another big season is sophomore Freyja Smith, who made the New Balance Outdoor Nationals and won the county championship in the javelin last year. Senior Veronica Benvenuto and sophomores Grace Barbarossa and Jennifer Killeen will also bring experience to the squad.
On the boys side, Tigers to watch include senior Tyler Spar, junior Sean Canellos, and sophomores Jonathan Alves and Skyler Smith.
The Tigers will kick off the season at Tusker Twilight on Friday, March 28.
