NORTH SALEM, N.Y. - North Salem softball kicked off the season with a Tiger tussle at home on Tuesday, April 1.
Senior Chloe Matt settled down after a shaky first inning yielded 5 Tuckahoe runs, but the North Salem offense couldn’t overcome the deficit as the visitors went on to an 8-1 win to spoil opening day.
8th grader Kathryn Ocdenaria went 1-2 with an RBI, while junior Sophia Aqeel went 3-3 and senior Ana Brewster had a pair of hits. Matt struck out four on the day.
The Tigers will be back in action on Thursday, April 3, on the road against Dobbs Ferry at 5 p.m.
