NORTH SALEM, N.Y. - The boys varsity golf team will see 10 players returning from last year’s squad, including a pair of All-League players in juniors Connor Meehan and Lucas Salvatore.
Sophomore James Nemeth will also look to build on last year’s All-League and All-Section performance, which saw him reach the second round and finish 28th at sectionals.
Other returning Tigers to watch include juniors Henry Rossi and Aidan Santis and sophomore Lucas Virzi.
"This group has spent countless hours training, practicing, and playing every chance they get, whether it's golf trips to Florida or going to a simulator together, golf has taken over their lives,” says Coach Chris Brandt. “One bold prediction I have is that North Salem will have three players representing our school at sectionals this season. I expect the team to be in contention for the league title this year and to post many low scores that should result in many match victories. Attention to detail on every shot and limiting our three putts will be key for this season.”
The Tigers are scheduled to kick off the season against Pawling on Monday, April 7, at Centennial Golf Club.
