NORTH SALEM, N.Y. – The North Salem Farmers Market has gotten the green thumbs-up to continue for two more dates this fall.
Held on Back Street in Croton Falls every second Saturday since May, it was due to wrap up on Sept. 14, but it’s now been approved by the town for Oct. 12 and Nov. 9, said organizer Jonas Andersen. The market will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This will take it into apple picking season and hopefully it will draw some of the folks heading off to the orchards.
The last markets held in August and September welcomed more than 1,000 visitors and featured 26 vendors. It’s received “many fantastic vendor applications” and is looking forward to introducing some of them in October and November, he said.
“The community’s support has been overwhelming and we’re so grateful to our sponsors and volunteers who helped kick off NSFM,” Andersen added.
