Photo Gallery: Jingle Bell Jog returns to North Salem

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. - It was jingle all the way for folks participating in the North Salem Bridle Trails Association’s annual holiday jog on Dec. 7.

The festive parade kicked off at Ogilvie Farm on Vail Lane and proceeded onto Route 121 north to Hayfield’s where costumed riders were treated to hot cocoa and their faithful mounts to a carrot or two.

Taking home prizes for their creative get-ups were Ollie McConnachie, Michelle Bell, and Jean-Baptiste Champon.

Leading the happy herd in song along the way, and in the caroling at Hayfield’s, were Metropolitan Opera singers Nathan Carlisle, Mary Kristine Hughes, and John Trybus. Of course, “Jingle Bells” was on the program.

Even "The Grinch" appeared to be having fun.
