North Salem boys soccer set for state final four

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. -After last year’s state title win, Max Cotrone made a bold statement:

“We will be returning to Middletown High School next year.”

With North Salem’s 5-0 win over Northern Adirondack in the regional finals on Nov. 8, Cotrone’s prediction has come true.

The Tigers were powered to their second straight regional title and a return appearance in the state final four on the strength of goals from Sean Randall, Aidan Santis, Juben Lazri, and Liam Keegan. Patrick Dooley and Steven Gamez had assists, with Anthony Federice notching 3 saves in goal.

The squad will now face off against Section 2 champions Maple Hill in the state semifinals on Saturday, Nov. 15, at 11 a.m. at Middletown High School.
