North Salem Board of Ed to Hold Strategy Forum

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. - The North Salem Board of Education is inviting the public to brainstorm with it on strategies for the school district.

The “Community Conversation” is set for 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 31, at the Middle School/High School, which is located at 230 June Road. It is currently planned to take place in the library but could be moved to the cafeteria if necessary.

Participants will be asked for their opinions on what it takes to be a “successful” school district, on what “success” actually means, and on how “success” should be measured.

“We need your voice and vision to shape our schools’ future. Let’s build the next steps together,” read a flyer posted by the district.

“The responses will be used to begin the formulation of a strategic plan for how the district defines success and directs resources to support that community definition of success,” said BOE Vice President Brandy Keenan.

Childcare will be provided during the event.
