Lucas has earned another term

Dear Editor,

I am writing to express my strong and enthusiastic support for the reelection of North Salem Town Supervisor Warren Lucas.

Having recently retired after a career in law enforcement and public service, I understand firsthand the importance of experienced, principled leadership in government. Communities depend upon elected officials who are willing to make difficult decisions, listen to the people they serve and place the long-term interests of their community ahead of politics. In my opinion, Warren Lucas has consistently demonstrated those qualities throughout his service to the residents of North Salem.

Effective leadership is not measured simply by words or campaign promises; it is demonstrated through experience, sound judgment, accountability and proven commitment to the community. Supervisor Lucas understands the importance of responsible government, fiscal stewardship, public safety and preserving the character and quality of life that makes North Salem such a special place to live and raise a family.

North Salem deserves steady and experienced leadership, particularly at a time when local governments face increasingly complex financial, public safety and quality-of-life challenges. Supervisor Lucas brings experience, institutional knowledge and the commitment necessary to continue moving the town forward while respecting the values and traditions that residents hold dear.

After spending my own career serving the public and working to protect communities, I have great respect for individuals who dedicate themselves to public service for the right reasons. Warren Lucas has demonstrated a sincere commitment to the residents of North Salem and the continued success of the community.

For these reasons, I proudly support Warren Lucas for reelection as North Salem Town Supervisor. I respectfully encourage my fellow residents to consider his record, experience and commitment to the community, and to join me in supporting his reelection.
