Dear Editor,
Karen Roach is retiring. Her professionalism and service attitude have been a major asset to the town and its citizens. We are fortunate to have a candidate who is capable of replacing her – Karol DeLuce.
Karol brings a strong and broad background to the job. Her accounting and finance experience will bring the town the kind of professionalism it has become accustomed to in the Tax Collector job. Her broad experience in a wide variety of disciplines – including supply chain management, operations, purchasing and office management as well as her executive experience as a treasurer and board member of the Association of Production and Inventory Control Specialty – brings a level of expertise to the position of Tax Collector that is a non-negotiable requirement for the job.
Her integrity is another crucial asset. Her commitment to interacting with taxpayers will preserve and enhance the standards that we have become accustomed to in that position, while her commitment to flexible hours will serve the community well.
Replacing Karen will be a challenge – and there is only one candidate who can do that job at the level it needs to be done. I strongly support Karol and urge you to come out and vote. Voting is your duty as a citizen of this great town, and there is no better candidate to vote for than Karol. Cast your vote on Nov. 4, or in early voting that starts on Oct. 25.
