The community came together for a sweet and exciting celebration this past Saturday, as Frannie’s Goodie Shop officially opened its newest location in Somers.
The grand opening event welcomed a strong showing of support from residents, families and members of the Somers Chamber of Commerce, who joined in to celebrate this highly anticipated addition to the town.
Owned and operated by Philip and Sarah Antunes, along with Toni Antunes, Frannie’s Goodie Shop, which was established in 2011, has already built a loyal following in Westchester County. Known for its fun, family-friendly atmosphere and wide variety of frozen yogurt, ice cream, candy and sweet treats, the Somers location continues that tradition, bringing a vibrant and welcoming destination for all ages.
The grand opening event featured music, giveaways and a lively crowd eager to experience the new shop. Free ice cream was given out to the first 50 people on line. One particularly memorable highlight of the day was Steven Collins, who camped out all night long to be the very first person in line for the noon grand opening, earning himself an exciting reward — free ice cream for the entire summer. His enthusiasm set the tone for the celebration and perfectly captured the excitement surrounding the opening.
The Antunes family expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome from the Somers community and the continued support of their growing customer base. With its colorful displays and endless topping combinations, Frannie’s Goodie Shop is poised to become a local favorite for sweet treats and special moments.
Frannie’s Goodie Shop is located at 249 Route 202, Heritage Plaza, in Somers.
