NORTH SALEM, N.Y. - St. James Episcopal Church in North Salem held its 67th auction and community fest on a beautiful Saturday in July.
The beloved annual event featured a live auction under a tent, a boutique, "White Elephant," a handmade quilt raffle, fresh produce and bakery goods, hot dogs and burgers, and a silent auction with items donated by local businesses where folks could bid on everything from golf outings, wine, and jewelry to art and fine dining or salon experiences.
It drew a large crowd. Some folks came for an hour or two while others were happy to hang out for the whole day.
It also helped feed North Salem’s neighbors with a collection of canned or packaged goods that were donated to the Brewster Food Pantry.
