Walton A. Wallace passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Calvary Hospice in the Bronx, NY. Born in Mount Kisco, NY, on January 5, 1947, to Walton Wallace Sr. and Lucy Ponturo, he lived 78 years filled with service, dedication, and love.
Walton devoted his life to helping and serving others. A proud patriot and combat veteran, he completed an honorable tour with the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, where he excelled and rose to the rank of sergeant. He held a degree in Engineering Science with Honors and was admired for his wealth of knowledge and experience.
His commitment to country and community was unwavering, and he was a steadfast supporter of the values he cherished.
Beyond his military service, Walton found joy in guiding others. As the lead Pistol Range Instructor at the Sportsman Center in Cortlandt Manor, NY, part of the Westchester County Parks system, he shared his expertise with the members of all groups, mainly the public, law enforcement, and countless individuals who benefited from his instruction and leadership.
Walton will be remembered not only for his accomplishments but also for his generosity, his devotion to family and friends, and his enduring commitment to helping others overcome challenges. His presence was a source of strength and guidance to all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Cassidy-Flynn Funeral Directors, 288 East Main Street, Mount Kisco, NY 10549, on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at the graveside at 12:30 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery, 304 Lexington Avenue, Mount Kisco, NY 10549.
