The Town of Bedford’s final Friday Night Food Trucks event of the season will be held Friday, Aug. 14, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Bedford Hills Memorial Park. The Ground Glass in Pound Ridge: An exhibit featuring work by four Ground Glass members will be on display through Saturday, Sept. 12 in the Schaffner Room. The exhibit includes Martin Kienzle’s “Botanicals,” Mitch Achiron’s “NYC: 1970s Street Life,” Markus Peters’ “Thresholds” and Eric Graig’s “Recent Abstractions.” The exhibit was coordinated by member Arnie Kastenbaum.

Bedford residents can rent fishing boats for use on local reservoirs through the Town of Bedford Recreation and Parks Department. Boats are available June 1 through Oct. 31, from dawn to dusk. Participants must obtain a free New York City Department of Environmental Protection Access Permit, hold a valid New York State fishing license and complete the Bedford boat registration application, waiver and rental payment.
Registration is open for Bedford and Pound Ridge NFL Flag Football, a coed program for children in grades K-5 and a boys program for grades 6-8. The season runs from September through early November, with games typically held on fields in Pound Ridge and practices in Bedford. Grades K-1 will practice and play Saturday mornings, while grades 2-5 will have one weekly practice and Saturday games. Practice and game schedules for grades 6-8 will depend on coach availability. USA Sport Group, in association with Bedford Recreation, will offer multi-sport camps for children ages 4-11 at Bedford Village Memorial Park.
