That Guy Larry

That Guy Larry will be at Redline Music Stage in Mount Kisco at 7 p.m., Saturday Aug. 22.

That Guy Larry is a high-energy pop/rock band delivering the ultimate live music experience across the Hudson Valley, Westchester, Putnam, and Fairfield counties. What started as a casual jam session quickly evolved into a dynamic six-piece band with male and female lead vocals, tight harmonies, and a setlist featuring classics like Blondie, Mellencamp, Petty, and Benatar to Pixies to modern day hits like, Weezer, Pink, Miley and more.

Swing Dance

Redline Swing: A special-edition live music swing dance featuring Sunny Side, a traditional jazz and swing band from New Orleans, will be held Wednesday, Aug. 26, at the Redline Music Stage at K1, 333 N. Bedford Road, Mount Kisco. A dance lesson begins at 7 p.m., followed by live music from 8 to 10 p.m. Admission is $18 early bird, $22 in advance and $28 at the door. All are welcome; no partner is needed. Swingout Rhythm Dance Club is spreading the joy of Lindy Hop and related styles in the lower Hudson Valley area with weekly classes, monthly social dances, and special workshops while building community. STEAM Fun Fair

Summer Reading finale: STEAM Fun Fair: 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, in the upstairs Mount Kisco Library Community Room. The Westchester Children’s Museum will offer a variety of hands-on activity stations to celebrate the end of Summer Reading. All ages are welcome.

Farmers Market

The Mt. Kisco Farmers & Makers Market at Kirby Plaza Park near the Mt. Kisco train station runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Sunday through Nov. 22, featuring fresh produce, prepared foods, local artisans, live music and family-friendly activities. Expanded this year by WMN Unite, the market now includes a broader mix of makers, entrepreneurs, wellness offerings and community programming alongside traditional farm vendors. Free Music Jam Session

Tuesday nights from 7 p.m.: For over a decade, The Legendary Tuesday Night Jam has been the event for musicians and music lovers alike.  Summer Tales on the Trial

Bedford Free Library and the Bedford Riding Lanes Association (BRLA) will host a family event Tuesday, Aug. 25, at 10:30 a.m. for children ages 2 and older. Join BRLA Executive Director Lindsay Hearon and Mrs. Crummy for a short, kid-friendly hike and storytime on the riding lanes. Online registration is required and space is limited.

Crafternoon at Bedford Hills Library

Beach Bracelets: Adults and seniors can make beaded beach bracelets Thursday, Aug. 20, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Bedford Hills Free Library, 26 Main St. Participants can decorate their bracelets with shells and other charms as part of the library’s monthly Crafternoon program. The Ground Glass, founded in 1975 by Renata Rainer, is an independent association dedicated to promoting the practice and appreciation of fine art photography in Westchester County, New York, and Fairfield County, Connecticut. For half a century, the organization has formed a vibrant community of artists dedicated to both the craft and the creative exploration of photography.

The Ground Glass is in residence at The Rye Arts Center (Rye, NY) and provides a forum for education, collaboration, and inspiration through monthly meetings, exhibitions, guest lectures, and image reviews. From traditional darkroom practices to cutting-edge digital techniques, The Ground Glass embraces the evolving nature of the medium. Member critiques encourage participants to experiment with diverse applications of photographic expression, while curated exhibitions emphasize the importance of presenting images as fine art prints.
